Eloy Gila Marín (born 21 June 1988), simply known as Eloy, is a Spanish footballer who plays for UE Llagostera as a forward.

Club career

Born in Sabadell, Barcelona, Eloy made his professional debuts with UDA Gramenet in the third division, after playing two years with the reserves. In 2010 he signed with another club in Catalonia, Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the second level, initially as a part of the farm team, Pobla de Mafumet CF.

However, Eloy played only two games for Pobla, and after scoring five goals in the main squad's preseason, was summoned by first-team manager Luis César Sampedro.[1] On 19 September he made his official debut, replacing Álex Cruz in the 75th minute of a 0–1 home defeat against Rayo Vallecano.[2]

On 16 October 2010 Eloy netted his first goal with Nàstic, against FC Barcelona B (1–1 home draw).[3] He finished the season as the club's second top scorer with five goals (only behind Berry Powel) as the club narrowly avoided relegation.

In 2011–12 Eloy could not reproduce his previous form, and after the arrival of Hugo Bargas in the January transfer window, lost his importance in the first team. He was then loaned to division three side Real Betis B on a six-month contract,[4] making his official debut on 5 February against Cádiz CF and scoring his first the following month, against CD San Roque.

On 23 January 2013, Eloy was released by Gimnàstic.[5] He signed for neighbouring UE Llagostera the following day.[6]
