Eloni Vunakece (born 27 May 1987) is an Australian-Fijian professional rugby league footballer for the Wyong Roos of the New South Wales Cup. He primarily plays prop and lock.

Playing career

Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Vunakece started his career with the Balmain Tigers.

Vunaceke played for the Balmain Tigers in the New South Wales Cup from 2009 to 2011, also having a stint with the Western Suburbs Magpies in 2011.

In September 2011, Vunakece signed with Toulouse Olympique in the Elite One Championship on a 1-year contract.

In 2012, Vunakece re-signed with Toulouse on a 1-year contract.[1]

In 2013, Vunakece played in 2 games of the 2013 Challenge Cup for Toulouse, scoring 2 tries.

In 2013, after the conclusion of the 2012/2013 Elite One Championship season, Vunakece joined the Wyong Roos in the New South Wales Cup.

Representative career

In 2013, Vunakece was named in the Fijian 2013 Rugby League World Cup squad.[2]

Personal life

Vunakece is married and has one daughter.[1]
