Elmer W. Holm was the 21st head football coach for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas[1] and he held that position for six seasons, from 1936 until 1941. His overall coaching record at Washburn was 23 wins, 31 losses, and 3 ties. This ranks him seventh at Washburn in terms of total wins and 23rd at Washburn in terms of winning percentage.[2]

Following his career at Washburn, Holm spent the 1942 season as an assistant coach at Nebraska.[3]
