Elizabeth Chong

Elizabeth Chong (born on 27 May 1931 in Guangzhou, China) is a prominent Chinese Australian celebrity chef, author and television presenter. She came to Australia when she was 3. Elizabeth is the daughter of William Wing Young, who is believed to have created the first dim sim, in 1945 at his Melbourne restaurant "Wing Lees "

Career

Television & Books

In 1994, her book "The Heritage of Chinese Cooking" won the "Prix La Maille" as "International Cookbook of the Year".[1]

Chong is best known for her television appearances on Good Morning Australia.

In 2003 her series Elizabeth Chong's Tiny Delights aired on television and a companion book of the same name was released.
