Elevation Worship is a contemporary Christian and worship band from Charlotte, North Carolina.[1][2][3] The band members are Chris Brown on guitar and vocals, Mack Brock on guitar and vocals, Wade Joye on guitar and vocals, London Gatch on guitar and vocals, Jane Williams on vocals, Brad Hudson on guitar and vocals, and Andrea Smith guitar and vocals[3] The band released their debut studio album under the Essential Records label on November 21, 2011 called For the Honor.[1][4] The bands' second album is Nothing Is Wasted, which was released under the Essential label on February 19, 2013.[1][5]
History
Elevation Worship is from Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.[1][2][3]
The band released three independent studio albums. We Are Alive was released in 2008, God With Us in 2009 and Kingdom Come in 2010.[3] Kingdom Come was the band's first album to breakthrough on the Billboard charts, and this was done on No. 5 on Heatseekers, No. 42 on Independent Albums and at No. 17 on the Christian Albums chart.[1]
The band signed with Essential Records sometime in 2011.[3] For the Honor was released on November 21, 2011 on Essential, which it saw chart success on Billboard, and this was on Heatseekers at No. 1 in 2011, 2012 and 2013, No. 19 on the Christian Albums in 2011 and 2012 and the Billboard 200 at No. 193.[1][4] Nothing Is Wasted was released on February 19, 2013 on Essential, which it has seen chart success coming the week of March 9, 2013 at No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart and at No. 41 on the Billboard 200.[1][5]
