Element 14 Ltd was a British developer of digital subscriber line (DSL) equipment created from the restructuring of Acorn Computers in January 1999.[1][3] Broadcom agreed in October 2000 to acquire Element 14 for £366 million ($594 million)[2] and became Broadcom's DSL business unit.[4]
