Elachistosuchus is a genus of archosaur from the Late Triassic. It was a prehistoric reptile which lived during the time of the earliest dinosaurs. Its fossils were found in Germany. The type species is E. huenei, described by German paleontologist Werner Janensch in 1949. Research in the 1970s indicated Elachistosuchus could possibly be a juvenile prosauropod, based on the size of its eyes and jawbone.[1]
