Ekehaar is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 6 km south of Assen.
In 2001, the town of Ekehaar had 199 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.14 km², and contained 77 residences.[1] The statistical area "Ekehaar", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 400.[2]
Ekehaar also has a primary school, OBS De Flint. The school is meant as a school for children from Ekehaar, Amen, Eldersloo, Eleveld and other surrounding villages
