Eiler Hagerup d.e. (9 June 1684 – 15 April 1743) was the Bishop of the Diocese of Nidaros from 1731 until his death in 1743. The "d.e." at the end of his name means den eldre (English: the elder) to distinguish him from his younger nephew, Eiler Hagerup d.y., a Bishop in the Diocese of Bjørgvin.
Hagerup was born in 1684 in Kvernes, Norway. He served as a parish pastor in Denmark, a chaplain in Kvernes, the leader of the mission to the Sami people, and finally as bishop in Trondheim. He died in 1743 in Trondheim.[1]
