Edward Buchanan

Edward A. Buchanan (born October 19, 1967) is a lawyer in Torrington, Wyoming, who is a former member and the past Speaker of the Wyoming House of Representatives. He was succeeded as Speaker on January 8, 2013, by Tom Lubnau of Gillette in Campbell County. Before his Speakeship, he had been the Wyoming House Majority Leader.

A Republican, Buchanan represented House District 4 from 2003 until 2012, first in Goshen County and then from Platte and Converse counties.^[1]

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Buchanan holds both bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Wyoming at Laramie. He also received a master's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. From 1990-1994, he was in the United States Air Force. He and his wife, Renee, have two daughters, Erin and Emily Buchanan.
