Edward Bishop III

Edward Bishop[1] and his wife were arrested and jailed for witchcraft in the witchcraft hysteria of 1692, and accused in the Salem witch trials.[2]

Family

Edward Bishop III was the grandson of early immigrant Edward Bishop, and the son of Edward Bishop Jr. They were able to break out of the Boston jail and escape. Their son Samuel redeemed their property.
