"Easy Livin'" is a song by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released as the second single from their 1972 album Demons and Wizards.The band has also shot a basic music video for the song in 1972.It was the band's only hit in the United States, peaking at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1972.[1][2] The song's greatest success came in the Netherlands, where it reached #5 on the singles chart.[3] The single also peaked at No. 25 in Canada.[4] In 1988 the band released a live version of the song, with new vocalist Bernie Shaw, as a UK single from the album Live in Moscow.[5]

The song was released in 1989, single live version.[6] In 2006,Uriah Heep released "Easy Livin': Singles A's & B's" called a collection, which also included the name of the song. In 2009, the band released "Easy Livin'" "Celebration" album alternative studio version.[7]

"Easy Livin'" did not reach their home country singles charts but was a big success in Germany it took place at #15, Netherlands it has its biggest success and charted at #5,in Scandinavia it took place at #17, in France at #35, and disappointing #75 in Australia. And along with "The Wizard" helped the band to broke to fame and gave them high popularity in many countries.

  • The song is Uriah Heep's second "listened" song on Last.fm with over 14,000 and more hits behind only "Lady in Black".[10]

The song is very dynamic and fast but in fact Mick Box uses only five chords to play it and that chords are Dm,F,G,Am and Bm.The chords Dm,F and G are always being played in the first parts and as an intro too.The song has three verses and also three choruses in the beginning there is an intro and in the finishing there is an outro.[11] The song has been included in many of live concerts of Uriah Heep as it has been released it has been first played live in 1973. It also has been included to many of Uriah Heep live albums. The song is Uriah Heep's second most covered song behind "Lady in Black".
