Eastman Army Camp

Eastman Army Camp is the name of an army surplus store in Walthamstow, London, United Kingdom. The initial aim of this enterprise was to provide army surplus and camping equipment, however in 2004 due to high demand, the store started to provide body armour. In 2006 the store appeared on the BBC news, ITV news, The Guardian,[1] The Daily Telegraph [2] and local papers because it was reported that, due to safety concerns, local school children as young as 10 were requesting to buy body armour from the store. This publicity catapulted Eastman Army Camp's reputation and it received numerous security vest orders as a result. It is now a well known provider of security vests in London even though the original aim of the store was to provide army and camping equipment.

History

The store was acquired in 1999 and was named Eastman Army Camp. Since then it has been providing a service to cadets, scouts, security guards, campers, construction workers and other general members of the public.
