ETX Capital is a UK based financial company that provide Institutional, high net worth and retail customers with multi-asset market derivatives trading through financial spread betting and Contract for difference (CFDs) products. ETX Capital is the trading name of Monecor (London) Limited.

ETX Capital provides online trading in spread betting, CFDs and Foreign Exchange (Forex).

History

Monecor (London) Ltd was incorporated in 1973 and became a member of the London Stock Exchange. Monecor (London) Limited launched a retail derivatives arm, TradIndex in 2002. However the name was changed to ETX Capital as part of a relaunch when the group acquired in 2007. It is said that the letters ETX reflect the business, as they stand for Electronic trading, Telephone trading, and eXecution services.[1][2]

In November 2010, ETX Capital launched a German-language version of the website and trading platform and in early 2011 ETX Capital continued its international expansion with the launch of websites and trading platforms in both Italy and France.[3]

In November 2010, ETX Capital made a heavy investment into their new trading platform optimizing various elements.[4]

T2W Award

ETX Capital was awarded the 2010 Bronze Members Choice Award for Best Spread Betting Broker at the Trade2Win (T2W) awards ceremony. T2W is a community website for traders with over 210,000 active members. The awards are based on T2W reader's votes, with categories in the field of Trading Platforms, Brokers, Data Feeds and Media.[5]

Regulation

ETX Capital is the trading name of Monecor (London) Limited and are authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority; registration number 124721.[6]
