Duxbury High School is a public high school in New England, located in Duxbury, Massachusetts a small sea-side town. The superintendent of the district is Dr. Benedict Tantillo, III . The principal of Duxbury High School is Andrew Stephens. The building is located on St. George Street, and classes opened there in 1959.

Academics

For comparison, the state reports results from its standardized test, the MCAS. In the 2005 MCAS, Duxbury sophomores performed such that 90% of test-takers scored "proficient" or above in the English Language Arts section of the test, compared to just 65% of the test-takers statewide.[citation needed]

Athletics

Duxbury has won an extensive amount of league and state titles. Duxbury also has one of the best High School Athletic Programs in New England. It has state of the art facilities and very competitive athletic teams at all levels.

Boys Soccer holds the National Record for consecutive victories, winning 72 straight games between 1981–85

Boys Lacrosse is considered one of the best programs in the country and won a record 99 straight games before being defeated by rival St. John's Prep.[citation needed]
