Durga Boro (born on 28 January 1987 in Kokrajhar, Assam) is an Indian football player who plays as a Forward for Shillong Lajong on loan from Mumbai Tigers in the I-League.

Career

Boro was born and brought up in Gendrabil, a small village around 6km from Kokrajhar town. He began playing football at a very tender age, but his first major tournament was the Subroto Cup in 1999 when he played for Kokrajhar HNMP School in the under-14 category.[1]

Churchill Brothers

Boro started his footballing career during the 2009-10 I-League season with Churchill Brothers S.C. in the I-League.

Mumbai Tigers F.C.

In July 2012, Boro signed for Mumbai Tigers F.C., newly formed team from Mumbai coached by Bimal Ghosh. In 2013 I-League 2nd Division Final Round, he had scored the only goal in the match against Langsning F.C. on 24th April, which the Tigers had lost 1-3. On 27th April in the last match, he had scored an injury time goal against Bhawanipore F.C., a match which the Tigers had lost 3-5.[2]

Shillong Lajong

On 6th February 2014 he signed for Shillong Lajong F.C. on loan from Mumbai Tigers as the club was shutdown.[3]
