Dulab

A dūlāb (Arabic: دولاب; literally "wheel"; plural: dawālīb, Arabic: دواليب) is a short instrumental composition used as an introduction in Arabic music, which serves to introduce the maqam. It is generally performed in unison by a full ensemble.
