"Drop a Beat" is a song by American electronica musician Moby, released as the second single from his self-titled debut album. Released in 1992, it peaked at numbers 6 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, its only placing on a major singles chart.[citation needed] It was featured in a Simpsons episode, when introducing Apu's octoplets in a "zooish" stage show.
