Dressipi is a fashion recommendation service[1] co-founded by Donna North & Sarah McVittie in 2009. The company is located in London,United Kingdom and has 13 employees to date.[2] Each user signing up creates a Fashion Fingerprint, which determines personal taste in fashion and consumer’s compatibility with clothes.[3] The company launched their CARE technology (Context Aware Recommendation Engine) in October 2011, which uses Collaborative Filtering. After coming out of beta in November 2011, over 200,000 users signed up in the first week.[4] On 6 September 2012; ex-Marks and Spencer CEO Sir Stuart Rose[5] was appointed as Chairman of online fashion recommendation service for Dressipi.[6] The company’s stylists include Nicki Black, Tara Kavanagh-Dowsett and Selina Mills [7] as well as former Daily Mail fashion editor Natalie Theo.[8]
