He was signed as an injury replacement for Mathiang Muo who was ruled out of the 2013–14 season with an Achilles injury.[2] On January 10, 2013, U'u recorded a season high 13 points in a 102-87 victory over the Townsville Crocodiles. 10 of his 13 points came in the second quarter where he shot 4/4 from the field.[3][4]
