Douthyam is a 1989 Malayalam-language Indian action feature film directed by P. Anil, starring Mohan Lal, Suresh Gopi, Parvathy Jayaram and Babu Antony. The film attracted media attention for action subject as the script was done by the poster designer of Kerala, Gayathri Ashokan (B. Ashok).
Synopsis
An army aircraft crashes in dense forest. Captain Roy Jacob (Mohanlal, starts his mission to rescue his colleagues from the dense forest, fighting a terrorist group and recovering confidential documents. The film resembled Sylvester Stallone's Rambo series. It was dubbed into Tamil as Captain Dhevaram and was well received. The film was remade into Telugu as Adavilo Abhimanyudu, starring Jagapathi Babu.
