Dongming County (simplified Chinese: 东明县; traditional Chinese: 東明縣; pinyin: Dōngmíng Xiàn) is the westernmost county of Shandong province, People's Republic of China, bordering Henan province to the west. It lies on the east (right) bank of the Yellow River.
The population in 1999 was 677,563.[1] The literal meaning of Dongming is "Clear east".
