Donga is one of the twelve departments of Benin. Donga was created in 1999 when the government split up the original six departments into twelve. Donga was split from Atakora. The capital of Donga is Djougou.
Donga is divided into the communes of Afodiobo, Agnua, Agouagon, Aledjo-Koura, Alekpo, Anoun, Assava, Awé, Ayékolélo, Badjoude, Bakperou, Barei, Bassila, Bayakou, Bimi, Bodi, Bonkorou, Boubou, Bougou, Copargo, Dassa Zoumé, Djéssékou-Sinngreu, Djougou I, Djougou II, Djougou III, Foungou, Fowa, Galata, Gatakpal, Gbemki, Gouka, Henhimé, Kawado, Kikele, Kolokonde, Koparo, Kouboro, Koundjio, Koutidiao, Kpalholé, Manfouka, Manigri, Massé, Ngmellang, Okouta-Boussa, Ouaké, Penesoulou, Prékété, Salamanga, Sokponta, Tchalinga, Tchitchakou, and Wédémé.
