Dondre T. Whitfield (born May 27, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.) is an American television actor.

Career

Whitfield attended the Performing Arts High School in New York City, New York. He was featured on the sitcom The Cosby Show as Robert Foreman (the love interest of Tempestt Bledsoe's character Vanessa Huxtable). Since then, he has appeared in many television series, including The Jamie Foxx Show, Martin, and Girlfriends. He had a starring role on the short-lived sitcom Between Brothers.

Whitfield portrayed Terrence Frye on the ABC Daytime drama All My Children from 1991-1994. The role earned him nominations for three Daytime Emmy Awards and two Soap Opera Digest Awards. He was most recently seen in Atlanta (created by Paul Reiser & directed by Harold Ramis) with Christine Woods, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Leslie Bibb (comedy centers on a man and a woman who meet at a funeral and can't seem to stay away from each other), Ghost Whisperer and CSI: Miami. He currently plays Coach MacIntyre on the ABC family drama Make It Or Break It.

Whitfield has appeared along with his wife Salli Richardson in a late night infomercial as part of an advertising campaign to promote the Time Life Zestify Midnight Soul collection.,[1] and in an episode of Eureka (in which he played Richardson's on-screen brother).

Personal

He is married to actress Salli Richardson. They have two children: a daughter, Parker Richardson Whitfield, and a son, Dre Terrell Whitfield (born January 24, 2009).[2]
