Dominique Stevenson

Antone Dominique Stevenson (born December 28, 1977 in Gaffney, South Carolina) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Tennessee and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft.

Also logged five tackles for a loss including one sack ... Sack came against Florida which eventually forced the Gators to settle for field goal ... Interception against Notre Dame stopped set up clinching touchdown as the Vols had possession at the Irish 25-yard line ... The Vols eventually scored a touchdown to take a 10-point lead with less than a minute left in the game … Also had 10 tackles against the Irish ... Recorded 10 tackles against Georgia as well …Competed this season as a graduate student as he earned his degree in urban studies during the summer.

2000 - Games/Started: 11/11...Vols' third ranking tackler (tied with John Henderson) as the middle linebacker and one of trio of backers to fill top three spots on defensive chart...Despite sitting out the Kentucky game as UT went with fifth defensive back, Stevenson finished with 71 tackles on 41 primary stops and 30 assists...Recorded four tackles for loss and four sacks, one interception, three passes broken up and two quarterback hurries...A returning starter, he opened season by tallying seven tackles, two assists and a sack against Southern Mississippi... His interception came in fourth quarter of Florida game...Hurt his knee during Georgia game, a contest in which he had seven tackles, three assists, 1 1/2 sacks, one quarterback pressure...Led Arkansas game tackle chart with eight, including one for loss and a caused fumble...Also led chart against Vanderbilt with eight tackles, two for loss...Had six tackles, including a tackle for loss in Cotton Bowl matchup with Kansas State .

1999 - Games/Started: 12/11 ... Started at middle linebacker, chalking up 65 tackles, tying for third on squad ... Had nine tackles for lost yardage ... Made six tackles for lost yardage in first four games, getting two against both Wyoming and Florida ... Registered two double-digit tackle games, 12 versus Memphis and 10 versus Notre Dame ... Tallied first sack in South Carolina game...Made nine tackles with a tackle for loss and half a sack in Vanderbilt finale ... Had eight tackles and recovered a fumble against Nebraska in Fiesta Bowl ...

1998 - Games/Started: 13/0 ... Made move to linebacker as backup on left side and saw action in all but one quarter ... Made 21 stops with two tackles behind the line and three pass deflections ... Had four tackles in Alabama and Alabama-Birmingham games ... Recorded tackles for loss in back-to-back games against South Carolina and Alabama-Birmingham ...
