Dominic James Colenso (born August 27, 1981 in Harlow, Essex) is an actor.

Early life

At the age of seven, Dominic moved to Benson, a small village in rural Oxfordshire. Here, he appeared in his primary school’s musicals, sang in the choir and acted in youth productions with the local amateur drama society. Dominic completed his secondary school education at the local comprehensive, Wallingford School. Here he attained an A* grade for GCSE Drama and was once again an active participant in the school productions. In contrast to his theatrical temperament, he was also an avid rugby player, playing for a local club, his school and representing Oxfordshire on numerous occasions.

Career

In 1997 Dominic moved with his family to Germany where he attended The International School of Düsseldorf. It was here that he decided to become a professional actor, throwing himself into as many acting-related activities as possible. He went all over Europe to drama and singing festivals juggling his academic studies with his passion for the stage. He played the leading roles in a lot of productions and even turned his hand to directing as well.

Whilst living in Germany, he also had the opportunity to go to Tanzania for one month to teach English in a summer school program. Dominic instantly fell in love with the country, its culture and its people. In 2001, he returned once more to teach English, hoping he will be able to do so again in the future.

Dominic graduated from Drama Centre London in 2002 with a BA honours in Acting. After an intensive three year training he went straight into work as a professional actor and has continued to work ever since. In the future Dominic would like to combine his career in acting with his aspiration to direct for the theatre.

He appeared in the movies "Thunderbirds" (playing Virgil Tracy) and "Midsomer Murders - Ghosts Of Christmas Past."
