Discovery is the American indie rock, electronic recording project of Rostam Batmanglij, the keyboardist from Vampire Weekend, and Wesley Miles, the vocalist from Ra Ra Riot, friends who began recording together in the summer of 2005.
History
Before Rostam and Wes rose in to the indie rock scene with each other's bands, they recorded together back in 2005 as a duo, taking on sounds of synth pop to auto-tuned R&B. They began putting an album together in 2006, but the project was left aside as Vampire Weekend and Ra Ra Riot music rose into the top charts. After the release of each other's band debut album, the duo continued a year later on finishing the album, which was later released in 2009. Their debut album was named LP.[1]
