It has several Dilmun era temples, and hosts the Umm Al Sajoor spring, which was once landfilled by the Ummayad caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan because of his hatred of the people of the village. However, this was reversed by the people of the village after Ibn Marwan left.
