The Diocese of Copenhagen (Danish: Københavns Stift) is a diocese within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. Until 2010 the bishop was Erik Normann Svendsen who was instituted in 1992. The cathedral is the Church of Our Lady in Copenhagen. The bishop of Copenhagen has a special status as primus inter pares among Danish bishops, but the administrative head of the church is the Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs (and the Queen).
