Digana

Digana is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province.Digana is popular for Dolomite mineral.Dolomite is used for plantations to increase the PH value of soil and produce Dolomatic lime in use for constructions. This was initiated by Late Alhaj Azeez Muhammedh Rauf during 1958.Digana developed economically because of this resource.
After submerging of Teldeniya Town, Digana became the popular alternative town to all neighbourhood. The population to be around 2000 families living with multy ethnic community.
