Diane Morgan

Diane Morgan is an English actress, comedian and writer. Originally from Bolton, Greater Manchester, she studied at East 15 Acting School before playing Dawn in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights. As a stand up comedian she has been placed second in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Award 2006 and runner up in the Funny Women Awards[1] 2006, for new and aspiring female comedy talent. Since then she has appeared on numerous episodes of BBC's Mock the Week[2] and has continued to work with fellow comedian Joe Wilkinson as part of the deadpan sketch group Two Episodes of Mash.[3] She can also be seen in Sky's comedy drama Mount Pleasant as receptionist Talia.

Two Episodes of Mash

Two Episodes of Mash is a sketch group composed of Joe Wilkinson and Diane Morgan. After performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for three consecutive years,[4][5][6] they appeared on Robert Webb's satirical news show Robert's Web.[7] Still working together to this day they have just finished recording their second BBC radio series[8] (co-starring David O'Doherty) and are appearing in BBC Three's Live at the electric.

Television

She appeared regularly as Philomena Cunk in Charlie Brooker's BBC2 series: Charlie Brooker's 2012 Wipe and Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe (2013).

Short films

Morgan has appeared in several short films, including the Johnathan Van Tulleken directed The Boot Sale,[9] written by Rick Edwards, which was shortlisted in the Virgin Media Shorts film competition 2010.[10]
