Dharmapuri Junction(Tamil:தர்மபுரி ரயில் நிலையம்) is a railway junction situated in the town of Dharmapuri, also the headquarters of the Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It has been administered by the South Western Railway Zone, included in the Bangalore railway division that was transferred over from the Southern Railway Zone.

Location and Layout

The railway junction is located on the Chinnathai Colony accessible by the Duraisamy Gounder Road and the Railway junction road situated at close proximity to the Local Bus-stand, TNSTC bus depot and the taluk office. The nearest airport is situated at Salem 42 km away from the station.The nearest INTL Airport is Bangalore Airport situated 170 kms from junction.

The station is located at a height of 462 m above sea level and has 3 platforms within its vicinity. It is a part of the Salem - Bangalore railway line and is an important halt for the trains passing through the line.

A new railway line between Dharmapuri And Morappur is under process and will function soon as possible.
