Devrai is a Marathi drama film released on March 11, 2004. Directed by Sumitra Bhave & Sunil Sukhtankar, produced by K. S. Wani Memorial Trust & Schizophrenia Awareness Association.[1] The film stars Atul Kulkarni, Sonali Kulkarni, Devika Daftardar, Tushar Dalvi. The films music is by Shrirang Umarani.[2]

The films is based on a schizophrenic struggling to come to terms with his illness and the frustration of his helpless sister.

Plot

The story is of Sheshshahi (Atul Kulkarni), a neglected victim of schizophrenia whose past unfolds as the fragments of memories of his close ones are put together.

We enter into his mind and travel with him into the unknown world of broken reality. Then begins the process of his recovery. His own struggle from within and the struggle and compassion of his caregivers once again give meaning to his life.
