Denzel Devall (born 1994) is an American football linebacker. He currently attends the University of Alabama in his sophomore year.

High school career

A native of Bastrop, Louisiana, Devall attended Bastrop High School, where he was an All-American linebacker. Regarded as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, Devall was ranked as the No. 5 inside linebacker.[1]

College career

Contributing as a true freshman, Devall saw action in all 14 games at "Jack" linebacker, and totaled 18 tackles, with two sacks, three tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries en route to being named to The Sporting News Freshman All-America Team.[2] His biggest game came on October 27, against Mississippi State, when he recorded two tackles for loss (one sack) and received Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Alabama coaching staff.[3] Devall draws comparisons to former Alabama outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw.[4]
