Denise O'Sullivan (born 4 February 1994) is an Irish international footballer who plays for Glasgow City of the Scottish Women's Premier League. She has been part of the Republic of Ireland women's national football team since 2011.

Club career

O'Sullivan won the Irish Under–14 Cup with Wilton United in 2008, scoring twice in the final.[1] She also netted in the senior Wilton United team's 3–1 FAI Women's Cup final defeat in August 2011.[2] She turned out for Peamount United in the 2011–12 UEFA Women's Champions League. After Peamount's exit from Europe she returned to Cork and joined the newly founded Cork Women's FC who compete in the FAI Bus Éireann sponsored Women's National League.[3] She scored her first goal for Cork Women's FC in their 3–1 away win over Wexford Youths Women's FC at Ferrycarrig Park on 15 January 2012.

In July 2013 O'Sullivan signed for Scottish champions Glasgow City, ahead of their 2013–14 UEFA Women's Champions League campaign.[4] She marked her debut with a goal, in City's 2–0 dismissal of local rivals Rangers.[5]

International career

While a pupil at Terence McSwiney Secondary School in Knocknaheeny, Cork, O'Sullivan represent the Republic of Ireland at Schools level.[6] She played in Ireland's 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup campaign, scoring in the quarter final defeat to Japan.[7]

On her senior debut in September 2011, O'Sullivan scored both goals in Ireland's 2–0 UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifying win over Wales in Newport.[8]
