Character biography

Laroque is a leader of the Communist Resistance. She captures René and Monsieur LeClerc while they are wearing German outfits, but when she recognises René, she lets them go. She then tries to marry René, who was an old sweetheart of hers before the war. Edith Artois replaces her at the altar, but Yvette and Mimi replace the priest with Crabtree, making the marriage illegal. When the German army attack their saw mill which they are using for Headquarters, she billets herself at Cafe René and her regiment move to Abbeville. Denise is not seen again and her friend and second-in-command Louise suddenly becomes leader.
