Denis Dyack
Denis Dyack (born July 14, 1966) is the former president of Silicon Knights, a video game designer, writer, director and producer. He founded Silicon Knights in 1992 after publishing Cyber Empires in 1991. He has a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree from Brock University. Dyack directed the production of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem as well as Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. Dyack was inducted into the Canadian Gaming Hall of Fame by the Canadian Game Development Talent Awards in November 2011.
He is a member of the Peter Drucker Society, on the board of the Entertainment Software Association of Canada,[1] and advises several universities and colleges, including MIT, McMaster University and Brock University.[citation needed] Dyack has gained some notoriety by expressing controversial opinions about the role of the gaming press[2] and about the effects of forum culture on the video game industry.[3]
He is now chief creative officer at Precursor Games. Due to ongoing litigation between Silicon Knights and Epic games, the move to Precursor is under some scrutiny.[4]
