Denílson Martins Nascimento (born 4 September 1976) is a Brazilian football striker who currently plays for Red Bull Brasil.[1]
Career
Previously he played for Al-Shabab, Dubai Club, and Al-Nasr and also Mexican side Atlas. In March 2006, Korean club Daejeon Citizen signed him on a three-month contract as a temporary replacement for an injured foreign import. Three months later Denilson returned to Brazil, but returned to Daejeon soon after on a one-and-a-half-year contract. After he settled in Daejeon Citizen, he scored nine goals and made three assists during the remainder of the 2006 season.
He became famous in Korea thanks to his unique goal celebration, mimicking famous Korean comedian Jung Jong-chul's 'Mabbak-i' action, a slap-stick gag which involves hitting one's own forehead continuously until completely exhausted.
On 29 December 2009, he moved to Uzbek club FC Bunyodkor.
He returned to Brazilian league, having completed his abroad experience for fifteen years. On 24 November 2010, it was announced that he would join Brazilian side Mogi Mirim with Rivaldo, his former teammate in FC Bunyodkor, as the club's president. Five months later, he moved to Guarani from Mogi Mirim on 13 May 2011.
Denilson is also the joint all-time top scorer in the FIFA Club World Cup with four goals along with Lionel Messi and Mohamed Aboutrika.
