Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan is a Turkish Businesswoman. She was born in 1965 in Adana. She is a third generation member of the Sabancı Family.

Upon receiving her degree from Richmond College, UK, she worked for the family conglemerate Sabancı Holding, for twenty years.

In 1999, she founded DEMSA A.Ş.[1] with her husband Cengiz Çetindoğan. DEMSA A.Ş. operates more than one hundred retail stores including two Harvey Nichols stores, and represents several luxury brands in Turkey. DEMSA A.Ş. will open the first Galeries Lafayette in Turkey in 2015. DEMSA has also two hotels: Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah is a museum hotel and Macka Palas acquired in 2009 will re-open in 2014 under the management of St.Regis (Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide). She is currently vice chairwoman of DEMSA.

IN 2006, she established Mediasa Yayıncılık,[2] a broadcasting company. Mediasa Yayıncılık was Fashion TV’s Turkish broadcaster until 2011. Currently Mediasa brands include ZTV BILGI (education channel), WORLD TRAVEL CHANNEL (thematic travel channel) and MCJ SHOPPING (tele shopping ). MCJ is a joint venture formed with Korean conglemerate CJ Group. Additionally, Mediasa is the publisher of Fashion and Travel Magazine which is a quarterly luxury lifestyle magzine. Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan is currently chairwoman of Mediasa.

In 2005, ONKIM STEM CELL company was established.[3] ONKIM has a storage and production facility and is qualified to give R&D support to local and international companies. It fullfills GMP conditions. In 2010, it signed an agreement with Anthro Kinetics to start production of autologous cartilage tissue. She is the chairwoman of ONKIM.

DENSA established in 2008, is a maritime transportation company with 24 vessels. In this venture, Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan is partner with her brother Ömer Sabancı and is currently acting as vice chairwoman.

Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan is planning to open a museum on the Golden Horn. The museum’s project is carried out by Zaha Hadid.[4] This museum will feature DEMSA collection which includes classical, modern and contemporary artworks, along with rare and valuable works such as calligraphies, hilyes and Korans from the Ottoman period.

Demet Sabancı Çetindoğan is married to Cengiz Çetindoğan, and they have three children.

She is currently the President of the High Advisory Board of TIKAD (Turkish Businesswomem Association), President of Executive Council of YÇD (Creative Children’s Association), Member of World Academy of Art and Science, Founding member of Social Aid and Solidarity Foundation, Member of Chaine des Rotisseurs Association Mondiale de la Gastronomie, Honorary Chairperson of Swiss Red Cross Ball 2013, and a member of Venetian Heritage Foundation.
