Debi Makhsoopuri(Punjabi : ਦੇਬੀ ਮੱਖਸੂਸਪੂਰੀ ) (Gurdev Singh Gill) is a Punjabi singer, songwriter and poet.
Biography
Debi Makhsoospuri was born on 10 June 1966, at the village 'Makhsoospur' in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab. Makhsoospuri is living in Canada with family including three daughters.
Career
Debi Makhsoospuri is one of the most famous lyricists and singers of Punjabi songs. He got his first break at the age of 20 as a lyricist when he wrote for famous singer Kuldeep Manak. Many of the songs he wrote for Manmohan Waris and Kamal Heer earned him popular acclaim. He turned singer himself with his debut album Jad Maa Nayi Rehndi in 1994.[1] He performs live shows under the name "Debi live" all over the world.
