Debbie Loeb

Deborah Lynn "Debbie" Loeb is a female singer/songwriter/actress and is the sister of singer/songwriter/actress Lisa Loeb. She is a native of Bethesda, Maryland, was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she currently lives. She is best known for appearing as herself in her sister's reality-based series "Number 1 Single".

Loeb, who stands out at 5'6" and is taller than Lisa, is best known for her work in the Dance music community and to viewers on MTV as the host of The Debbie Loeb Show (a take on "Ricki Lake"), the children's program Debbie Debutante and the Televisa series "Lo Mejor del Mundial." She also worked on various broadway and music projects.

In 2006 Loeb scored a record deal with Ultra Records (the signing of Loeb to the label was featured on "Number 1 Single"), which released her first single "Faraway." The track is already becoming a major hit at Dance radio, where it has debuted at number 21 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart for the week ending March 27, 2006. She was expected to release her first full length set in Summer 2006 but no official date has been given. In August 2006 Debbie Loeb had completed a new single to follow from Faraway which is yet to be released.

Credentials

She holds a M.A in Solo Performance & Education from NYU, a B.A. in Spanish (her second language) from University of California at Berkeley and also works with young people with learning disabilities as a learning specialist.
