Deadblow is a combat robot built and driven by Grant Imahara.[4] It competed in BattleBots in the middleweight division using a fast pneumatic hammer as its weapon.[1] Deadblow won 2 rumbles and was ranked number 2 among middleweights, right after Hazard. Afterwards, it went on with Grant to help in some experiments in the television series MythBusters and is now regarded as a permanent member of the Build Team.
Use on MythBusters
Deadblow has been used on MythBusters several times, most notably in the myth that you can smuggle things across the Canadian Border by turning off your headlights, in which he was temporarily renamed Blinky (after Jessi Combs asked the robot's name), where he played the role of an oncoming car's headlights. He has also been used in multiple other myths on the show, including the Beat the Guard Dog episode where he played the part of a robotically controlled cat.
