Dayr Hafir District

Dayr Hafir District (Arabic: منطقة دير حافر / ALA-LC: manṭiqat Dayr Ḥāfir) is a Syrian district (mantiqa) administratively belonging to Aleppo Governorate. Its regional centre is the city of Dayr Ḥāfir. The population of the district is 91,124 as per the 2004 official census.

Until December 2008, this district was part of Bāb District.[1]

Divisions

The district of Dayr Hafir is divided into three Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):

  • Dayr Hafir nahiyah (ناحية دير حافر): population 33,592.[2]
  • Rasm Harmil al-Imam nahiyah (ناحية رسم حرمل الإمام): population 30,029.[3]
  • Kuwayris Sharqi nahiyah (ناحية كويرس شرقي): population 26,729.[4]
