David Vestal

David Vestal (1924 – December 4, 2013[1]) was an American photographer, critic, and teacher, of the New York School.[2] He was the recipient of John Simon Guggenheim Fellowships in 1966 and 1973.[3] Vestal's publications include The Art of Black and White Enlarging (1984)[4] and The Craft of Photography.[5] His column, "Vestal at Large," was a regular feature in "Photo Techniques Magazine."[6] Vestal died December 4, 2013 in Bethlehem, Connecticut in 2013.[7]
