David José Martínez (born August 4, 1987) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball.
In 2013, Martinez has played for the Corpus Christi Hooks of the Double-A Texas League and the Oklahoma City RedHawks of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.[1] He won two consecutive pitcher of the month awards from the Astros.[2]
Martínez was called up to the majors for the first time on August 20, 2013.[3]
