David Alberto Depetris (born 11 November 1988) is an Argentine-born Slovak football striker who currently plays for Çaykur Rizespor in the Turkish Süper Lig. His former club was the Corgoň Liga club AS Trenčín.[1] He has Argentinian, Italian and Slovak citizenship. He received Italian citizenship before his arrival in Europe (he is of Italian descent). He spent five years in Slovakia, therefore qualified to receive citizenship. Depetris received Slovak citizenship on 21 March 2013[2] and can represent Slovak national team.
Club career
Early years
Born in San Jorge, Argentina, Depetris began his career with hometown club C.D. San Jorge. In 2005 he joined Atlético de Rafaela and three years later he moved to Europe, to Slovak club AS Trenčín. He scored 21 goals in 30 matches in his first season in second Slovak league.
AS Trenčín
In January 2008, he joined Slovak club AS Trenčín.[3] Depetris became twice top goalscorer in a Slovak 1. liga in the 2008–09 Slovak 1. liga season, scoring 21 goals, in the 2010–11 Slovak 1. liga season he scoring 31 goals in 30 matches.
2012–2013
David Depetris with 16 goals hold a new record in the number of goals scored in the autumn of the current season, the top league in the era of the independent Slovak Republic. In this evaluation ahead of Róbert Semeník (1. FC Košice) in 1995 and Ľubomír Luhový (Trnava) in 1997, then scored fifteen goals.
Çaykur Rizespor
2013–
David Depetris signed three and half-year contract in the winter transfer window 2013, with the TFF First League club Çaykur Rizespor. He made his debut on 27 January 2013 against Adana Demirspor, when he substituted Cumali Bişi. Rizespor lost 1 – 2. Depetris scored the first and second goals in TFF First League against Tavsanli Linyitspor on 3 February 2013.

International career
David received an invitation to the Slovak national football team from coaching duo Stanislav Griga and Michal Hipp. After he got Slovak citizenship in March 2013, Depetris could have debuted for the Slovak national football team in the 2014 match against Liechtenstein; however he would end up missing the match due to a muscle injury, which flared up during training. He made his national team debut on August 14th against Romania.

Personal life
David lives with his girlfriend Erika Kacincova, a fitness trainer, in Rize. They are a couple for five years.
