David Bell (philosopher)

David Andrew Bell (born 1947) is emeritus professor of philosophy at the University of Sheffield,[1] having previously studied in Dublin (Trinity College Dublin), Göttingen and Canada (McMaster University).

He is well known for his work in continental philosophy from an analytic point of view (especially his work on Edmund Husserl), as well as being interested in solipsism, and other areas of philosophies of mind, language, logic and mathematics. He spoke at the British Society for the History of Philosophy.[2]
