David Bauzá Francés (born 29 May 1976 in Alicante, Valencian Community) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.

Football career

Over the course of 12 seasons Bauzá appeared in 354 Segunda División games and scored 16 goals, representing five clubs in the category, namely Sporting de Gijón and Albacete Balompié (three years apiece).

Late into his career, during his spell with SD Huesca, he suffered two nearly-consecutive anterior cruciate ligament injuries – right and left knees – which sidelined him for a period of almost two years combined.[1][2]
