David Astbury (born 26 February 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He wears the number 12 guernsey and plays most of his football in defence, but he can play in the forward line.[1][2]

Originally from Tatyoon in western Victoria, Astbury was drafted to Richmond from the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup with the 35th selection in the 2009 AFL Draft.[3] He attended Caulfield Grammar School as a boarding student for two years.[4]

Astbury made his AFL debut in Round 4, 2010 against Melbourne. He had seven disposals (six kicks and one handball), took three marks, had one tackle and kicked three goals. He was one of the only shining lights for the Tigers in a disappointing 55 point loss.[5]
