Dave van Vuuren (born in Westville, Durban, South Africa in 1990) is the winner of the seventh season in of South African Idols after a very close public vote in the finale held 4 October 2011, with Van Vuuren getting 50.49% of the votes,[1] against 49.51% for the other finalist and eventual runner-up Mark Haze.He was the first winner to have landed in the bottom 3.
